Using EPUB ebooks
EPUB files are more versatile than PDFs on a small screen, but need an e-reader and/or software to open them.
Most ereading devices and programs can open EPUB files.
For general ereaders download the EPUB file to your computer and transfer it to your device in the usual manner.
For a smartphone or tablet, downolad an app from the list below an then download the EPUB file and open it with the app:
- iPhone or iPad: iBooks, Bluefire Reader*, Kindle app, Kobo app
- Android phone or tablet: Bluefire Reader*, FBReader, Kindle app, Kobo app,Moon Reader Pro (fee payable)
- Windows Phone: Bookviser, Kindle app, FBReader, Kobo app
- Nokia: (Symbian) Ionic, Bubue and ereading app
On a Windows Windows, MacOS or Linux computer, download software from the list below and then download the EPUB file and open it with the software:
- Windows: ADE, FBReader, Kobo software, Calibre
- Mac: ADE, FBReader, Kobo software, Calibre
- Linux: FBReader, Calibre
